Key Highlights of the Webinar: After cancer treatment ends, many male survivors who appear clinically well continue to experience distress, disengagement, and difficulty returning to meaningful life roles, yet remain underrepresented in psycho-oncology care and are less likely to use traditional psychosocial services. Dr. Hoyt will present a biobehavioral framework for understanding survivorship in men, emphasizing how disruptions to goal pursuit and personal agency contribute to distress and adjustment difficulties, the preliminary efficacy of Goal-focused Emotion-Regulation Therapy (GET), and practical strategies for designing psycho-oncology interventions for men.
