Volume 33 Issue 3 of the International Journal of Behavioral Medicine examines how health behaviors, social relationships, and psychosocial contexts jointly influence health outcomes across diverse populations. This research highlights the central role of behavioral and social determinants in influencing care engagement, lifestyle practices, and mental well-being.

The issue is organized around three broad and intersecting themes:

  • treatment adherence and engagement in care
  • lifestyle behaviors across the life course, and
  • psychosocial resilience in the face of social, environmental, and health-related stressors.

Across these domains, the studies range from chronic disease management and maternal and child health to mental health, social isolation, and climate-related vulnerability. Together, these contributions underscore the value of integrating psychosocial and behavioral perspectives into prevention and intervention efforts, with the aim of informing more effective and context-sensitive public health strategies.
